Dear child,
I've never actually done this before in my life I mean, write to my baby moments before I die.
It was a rainy day on November 16, 2010 just three days after you were born. Your mother and I both looked as you slept silently in the bed beside us, all while having a relaxed grip on her pinky finger. You probably cant remember how many times you cried me awake to go and put you back to bed, but it took an iron heart to do so.

The night was black, giving the desolate city of Chernobyl a gloomy look. Whatever signs of life the city had were now gone. Radiation made everything about the city look as if it was deserted for over 100 years.
In the distance, a figure could be seen by the infamous Chernobyl Ferris Wheel. The yellow cars that surrounded the gigantic wheel of metal looked like they were about to fall off. The snow that fell on the land was calm, almost majestic. It covered the rusty Ferris wheel so much that only spots of yellow could be seen.
